Laing O’Rourke – Explore Manufacturing. Oxford Earth Sciences Building:

The Oxford Earth Sciences Building has a four storey structural frame with post tensioned floor slabs. The external pre-cast cladding panels are restrained horizontally off the structural frame with the vertical loading carried by concrete filled hollow billets cast into the backs of the panels supported on the floor slab.

The stone-on pre-cast concrete panels are designed as plain walls with reinforcement being provided to counter the transverse moments caused by wind loading.

Central & North West London NHS Foundation Trust. Northwick Park Mental Health Unit (MHU) Refurbishment & New Build:

The MHU Building is a five storey concrete frame construction with metal window / curtain walling panels. The building has been in use since the early 1970s and a phased programme of refurbishment / modernisation and new build single storey extensions is proposed. In the existing building a new Management Suite will be created and existing wards will be converted to individual en-suite bedrooms. The new build extensions will also contain en-suite bedrooms and permit access to a landscaped recreational garden.
